V-a-c-a-t-i-o-n

We finally were able to get away. To visit family, so for some that wouldn't be a vacation but for us it was still good and for us it was our vacation. We also were able to visit with friends, so we were doubly blessed! We did get some sickness while gone, but we won't talk about that right now, I'll just share the good parts and leave out the sicky bad part. In a nutshell...
We went to a Japanese restaurant where they cook in front of you. The older kids loved that! So there was a little fire, at least we know we don't have any pyromaniacs on our hands! We celebrated our friend Karyn's birthday there!

We went to the pool! So nice and relaxing. We actually did that a few days!!!!!

We visited the Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC. Donnie's brother came with us that day. It was a great, fun day! We could have stayed longer, but when you have 3 little ones 4 hours in a museum is long enough!

We did do our Bible stories every night, with the help of extra actors and actresses while there, thank to them, you know who you are!!!!!! The kids loved it!!!!!

We roasted marshmallows! YUM

We went out to eat with family & friends, without kids!!!!!!!! To a fun place called Sweetwater. Yummy yummy food. I got this really good halibut over polenta dish. Did I say it was yummy? And we didn't have our kids, so it was nice adult conversation!

We went shopping at the outlets, found some good deals too!
We went to church on Saturday night, then after that is when the sickness started...
But to help get over that little toes were polished. Little sunshines were polished for the first time. She just came right over, sat down and stuck out her toes... she did really good sitting still too. She's all girl!

We enjoyed our time and we are thankful for the hospitality of our family!
Harley (the dog) is talked about and is being looked for throughout the day.

hey, I smiled when looking at your pics:) OF course Avery would love her toes polished. It'll be nice when one of them can do mine!!!!!! and give you a break so teach them well.
Tommy would be jealous you went to the space museum:) Did you see any of the war memorials that are new?
Wish you were here:)

Super pictures and glad to hear that at least you got dinner out

Glad all are feeling better and
that you and Avery did not get it.

tomorrow and I wish you both well
a new beginning for a big fellow.
